This Terminal has been tasked with the majority of “message recovery” tasks. It is by no means the only Terminal doing this sort of work, but it is the major contributor of message recovery efforts. Around 80% of all messages captured from beyond the Terminals have been captured by this Terminal alone, and out of the 20% captured by other Terminals, around 10% of that information is sent here to be processed due to the superiority of systems utilized here.
During the processes taking place within this Terminal, research is being conducted at all times to improve upon and better understand all manner of interactions during the capture and recovery of messages. This is where most research efforts and resources are allocated to.
However, this Terminal is also tasked with improving upon other Terminals tasked with this same mission. Around 23% of all research energy is used for the betterment of these other Terminals, and to explore alternative “message recovery” methods. One main goal regarding the improvement of the other Terminals is to ensure that they are not “copies” of this one. Diversification and experimentation are key components towards ensuring absolute recovery of all messages captured from beyond the Terminals, since multiple arrays using the same technology as this Terminal will actually interfere with overall message recovery efforts.
Lastly, a small portion of research efforts are given towards the goal of organizing all restored messages. This includes, but is not limited to: where in time the message originated from, messages which may be related to the given message, and keywords used in the message. This research is given the least resources to proceed, and yet it has seen the most progress out of all three research efforts.
