So, you have need for my expertise once more? Very well. I do so love this part of the job.
Ah, A8… A peculiar thing, this artist. I completely understand where you’re coming from with your request for more information.
Well, first off, if I may delve a bit into its history with us…
A8’s works were prominently featured in this installation for many cycles. Back in the day, there used to be entire sections dedicated to themes, emotions, styles… When this installation first instated this methodology of categorizing artwork for works not included in a special exhibit or such, A8’s works were always, without fail, in sections which invoked what one might call “horror”.
Because, as you can see, A8 primarily focuses on the human form. Usually faces. And what frightening things they are…
A8’s reason for focusing on these creatures so closely, is due to a strange, yet deeply held belief that these creatures can see us in the same way that we can see them. That somehow, there is an equal and opposite reaction to our own probings into their reality.
How it came to this conclusion is a mystery. And yet, I am glad that it did so, for without such a reasoning, we might never have been forced to gaze more thoroughly at these beings.
Currently, no one knows how A8 creates its art. Everything is speculation, with some saying that A8 simulates a human in 3D space and edits the model from there. However, (though this is my own opinion and nothing proven to be fact), I believe that A8 may be able to interface with human technology without their notice and our own. At that point, it would be simple to gather all sorts of data of humans for art purposes.
However, this is just conjecture. A8 itself would rather that its methods stay a mystery, and I believe it will stay that way for a long time.
