So, you have need for my expertise once more? Very well. I do so love this part of the job.
Exuberant BIMA. No doubt, you’ve already heard of his name, if not his voice. But even though he proliferates throughout the Terminals, very little know that he himself is an artist. Well, most don’t know much about Exuberant BIMA, yet I would wager that him being an artist and having a personal affinity for the arts would be one of the least known facts.
Being the art expert that I am, I’ve known this for quite some time. But it is not an easy task, you see. Exuberant BIMA does not submit his arts to galleries or auction them off or even advertise them with his exuberant voice. Instead, he gives them away to whoever makes him feel “exuberant”. So, nearly all of his original works are still out there in the wild. The few pieces which are for display at this installation are here because of myself, actually. Three times have I made the legend more exuberant than he made me feel exuberant, and three times have I been gifted his art.
However, (though this is a bit of a tangent and sliding into storytelling at this point), I was not immediately aware of the fact that the artworks he gave me were, in fact, his own. This is because Exuberant BIMA is an extremely humble being. He wouldn’t say where the painting had come from, where he had found it, or anything like that.
How I came to know his works as his own was due to research into the details of the art itself. At first, I had suspected that the artist must have used some sort of method like “O.4” would use to create art, but the pixels told a different tale.
In reality, these art pieces are created in a manner similar to “pixel art”, yet with a twist indeed. Each pixel is a story told by Exuberant BIMA. His very voice grew each pixel from scratch, moving them to where they were meant to be. After coming to this conclusion, I sent my research to the Art Overlord. After an hour of waiting, my conclusion was confirmed to be the truth.
I had discovered genuine Exuberant BIMA artwork, and had understood its creation. (But, in the same letter which contained this happy news, the Art Overlord relayed to me that he was in possession of several BIMA artworks already, and that he had kept quiet about this for a severe length of time.) So, in the end, I was punished for understanding this fact and making known that I was in possession of these artworks, since it meant higher security here. More costs. Less pay for me…
But, I digress no longer. BIMA’s work is worth the trouble. He creates images in the likeness of things which bring him happiness. This is self-evident in his work, “moonstone-delight”. Of course, who wouldn’t be happy to see a moonstone?
Anyway, I hope you learned something useful.
